'[I] did more loops than I could count': Masked roommate racks up hundreds of dollars in red light camera fines

This is genius. One guy shared the way they got back at a thieving roommate — and their methods are certainly food for thought. 

Roommate relationships can make or break your living situation. If you decide to live with someone responsible and clean, you'll probably get along just fine. But of course, you don't really know what it's like to live with someone until the moving vans are pulling away from your house, and your roommate is setting the stove on fire with their dinner. You just have to hope that they'll be a good person to live with. If you can find a roommate who's also your friend, that's the best case scenario. 

This person, u/Redditous-Randomous, shared that their roommate was their friend throughout college. Then, the OP caught their roommate stealing, and was "so betrayed." If you're living with someone, you only have so many options to protect your belongings. If you can't even trust your roommates to not steal from you, that's a living arrangement that is no longer viable. So this dude decided to burn that bridge in a hilariously odd way.

But I'm also sure he had to at least go to the court house. And this was at a time when the process re red light camera tickets in this particular city was a nightmare. It was well known to be a giant mess and really hard to get a hearing about them.

    Font - Redditous-Randomous OP I'm not going to say what state it was, but I will say that it's a state that requires the state proving it was you who was the driver. And yes, the ticket goes to the registered owner but the owner can go to court to fight it. The burden of proof is on the state. The issue more was that it was new in the state and being contested so the process was really messy, especially in that city.

    Font - theharderhand. Did you? The triggers for the flashes are before the crossing basically more or less parallel with the lamps. So to trigger extra photos you would have to have passed that lamps again and again. Donuts on the intersection wouldn't trigger further photos. Each trigger also triggers two pics. One at the moment is passing the trigger and one some milliseconds later to see if someone just rolled the trigger or really went past the intersection.
